A little introduction to our world
Hi there! Let me start by introducing ourselves our names are Adrian and Louize Campfield.
Having been an artist and a photographer for many years, I do tend to see things in a very graphic way, so I try to combine the two mediums together. On the art side of things I use soft pastels, pencils and watercolour, and on the photography side I use conventional film and digital film.
The beauty of monochrome images is the fantastic lighting effects that you can achieve from this medium, from dramatic skies and texture of old buildings, to subtle tones of water. We have also included some toned images for this reason. I have in the past year and a half (along with my wife Louize), converted most of my photographs to digital images on my computer and have been printing them using pigment ink so the life expectancy is 75 to 100 years.
